Harvest has been really special this week, especially because I finally learned how to speak my testimony in Spanish! Now I can share with others what the Lord has done in my life, which is really cool. If I don’t learn anymore spanish while I’m here, It’ll be okay because the testimony of what the Lord has done in my life is enough. We got to meet a girl my age named Elizabeth on the street this week. We shared the gospel with her, and she invited us into her home. Her family was eager to meet us and speak to us. They were a more wealthy family in the town, and we got to share the gospel with them. They are also a very religious family, and made sure we knew that. They told us how many times they went to church a week and knew so much about the bible, but when we asked them if they had a personal relationship with Jesus, they couldn’t answer. Elizabeth and her family didn’t accept Christ that day, but we left their house knowing that we had planted seeds and prayed for the Lord to open their hearts to a relationship with Him. We met with a woman named Julia, who is blind in her left eye, and in her right eye she can barely see. She has diabetes, and because she has a lack of monetary resources for healthcare, it went untreated for a while and she has suffered a lot of consequences like the loss of her sight. However, she is on FIRE for Jesus and shares the gospel with truly whoever will listen to her. It is inspiring to see someone who is in so much physical pain understand that life on Earth is full of suffering, but knowing Jesus means we get to spend a peaceful, fulfilled eternity with Him. Her dad lives with her, and he is eighty years old and has dementia. On top of working, spreading the name of Jesus, and maintaining her household, she now has to take care of Him. He is a sweet man who loves the Lord, but I am continually praying that he receives comfort and a sound mind.
