Nolensville, TN
I served in Nolensville, TN while working at Pine Cove City Camp in July, 2023.
Week nine of camp, Nolensville was awesome. God moved in impossible situations!
I had a group of ten and eleven year old girls, who were amazing. They were quirky and fun and most of them were friends before coming to camp, which was really cool. They were eager to have one on ones with me, and wanted to know who Jesus was and what He did for them. Out of a group of seven girls, none of them went to the church we were at. Two were atheists, two were catholic, and three already had relationships with christ.
Looking at this group on paper, you would’ve been at a loss for words. How could such a diverse group of girls be friends, let alone all be at a christian summer camp?
Well, it’s because the Lord wanted them to be there. And He moved.
The two atheists in the group were sisters. One of them approached me on the second day and she told me she wanted a relationship with Jesus. After she accepted Christ into her heart and told her mom at pickup, her mom laughed in her face and they left. Her sister never expressed any interest in the gospel, but was really happy that her sister was saved.
Both girls thats families were catholic told me they had never prayed to receive Jesus into their hearts to the Lord. They had just prayed to their preist.
When I heard this, I didn’t discount their faith. They knew so much about the bible and were such nice girls. However, they may have confessed with their mouths that Jesus is Lord, but they didn’t believe it in their hearts, and they knew that. They both wanted to be saved, which was incredible. They recognized they knew a lot about Jesus, but they didn’t have a relationship with him.
By the end of the week, Jesus had saved three of his daughters. And I wept all the way back to Birmingham. Thank you Jesus.
