Day 3
Praying for San Antonio
Today was spiritually exhausting, but the Holy Spirit sustained me. After every conversation, He continued to give me strength. Throughout this trip, I have been so worried what the locals think of me. They must be judging my Spanish and the way I dress and the way that I walk. Even if they are judging those things, that is just a lie the enemy is whispering so I would be distracted from what the Lord wants to do in this place, through me. It’s crazy to think that I, a girl on antidepressants with a testimony of addiction and brokeness could be used by the God of all creation, but He delights in my obedience.
We started off the day in an evangelism training with a church on a mission trip from North Carolina. They are super kind and inviting toward Jordan and I. The Holy Spirit was working in the training and during our time of worship. A young girl on the mission trip got SAVED by the blood of Jesus. Hallelujah.

Estephanie y sus niños.
After our training, we went out in the town to “harvest”. This is a time where we get to reap the blessings of the Lord through the people in the community who know Jesus. Someone planted a seed in them, the Lord grew their faith, and now we get to harvest the blessings of the Lord together through discipleship. We got to meet with two different women, both extraordinary in their faith. The first woman, Valentina, was miraculously healed after she couldn’t walk for a year. She didn’t have enough money for a doctor, and no one was willing to help her. All she could do was pray. Many people came to pray for her and one day, she began to walk “like a baby”. It took her seven days to fully begin to walk like she used to. Her husband had a similar miracle that he shared with us. He was very sick, and could not work. His stomach was in so much pain. “Pero Dios es mas grande.” He was healed and can now provide for his family again.
The second woman we visited, named Estephanie, is a single mom because her husband left to work in Spain. Her daughter Abi and six month old son come with her to work every day. We met on the ground of her “tienda” and talked to her about the burden of Jesus in Matthew 11. Reading scripture in both English and Spanish is the coolest thing. We also got to worship with Estephanie and her kids, which was the first time I got to lead worship in Español. Gracías Dios.
